About the Toyota Yaris GRMN XP130
The Yaris GRMN (Gazoo Racing tuned by the Meister of Nürburgring) was Toyota's first serious foray into the European hot hatch market, serving as a limited-run precursor to the later GR Yaris. It is uniquely powered by a 1.8-litre engine featuring a Magnusson Eaton supercharger—a rarity in a segment dominated by turbocharging—which provides immediate throttle response and a linear power delivery. The chassis was extensively modified with Sachs performance dampers, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and additional underbody bracing. Only 400 units were allocated to Europe, with an additional 200 Vitz-badged units for Japan, making it one of the rarest modern hot hatches.
