About the Ford Zephyr Mk2
The Ford Zephyr Mark II, part of the 'Three Graces' alongside the Consul and Zodiac, was a cornerstone of British executive motoring in the late 1950s. Its styling, heavily influenced by the 1955 American Ford Fairlane, featured a wide chrome grille and prominent tail fins that appealed to a post-war public hungry for transatlantic glamour. Underneath, it was technically advanced for its time, featuring unitary construction and MacPherson-strut front suspension. The 2.6-litre straight-six provided smooth, effortless torque, making it a favourite for both family touring and police motorway patrols.
