About the Ford Mustang Mach 1
Introduced for the 1969 model year, the Mach 1 was Ford's performance-oriented response to the growing muscle car market, available only in the 'SportsRoof' fastback body style. This specific trim features the 351 cubic-inch Windsor V8, positioned as a step up from the base GT. It is distinguished by its matte black hood, functional or decorative hood scoop, and reflective side striping. The Mach 1 package also upgraded the interior with 'Teakwood' grain trim and high-back bucket seats, blending aggressive styling with improved grand touring comfort.
