About the Ford Mondeo ST200 Mk2
Launched in 1999 as the flagship of the Mk2 Mondeo range, the ST200 was a performance-oriented tribute to Ford's success in the British Touring Car Championship. It featured a Duratec V6 tuned by Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) with uprated camshafts, a larger throttle body, and a revised exhaust system to produce 205 PS. Distinguished by its Performance Blue paint, 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, and Recaro interior, it offered a significantly sharper driving experience than the standard V6. While the later ST220 is more common, the ST200 remains a sought-after rarity among fast Ford collectors for its direct link to the Super Touring era.
