About the Ford Fiesta Mk3

The Mk3 Ford Fiesta, codenamed BE-13, was a significant leap forward for Ford's supermini, introducing a longer wheelbase and, for the first time, a five-door body style. The 1.1 LX sat in the heart of the range, offering a more comfortable specification than the base Popular Plus, including features like a sunroof and central locking. While the 'High Compression Swirl' engine was an evolution of the older Kent unit, it provided reliable, if modest, performance for the era. Today, clean Mk3 Fiestas are becoming increasingly rare and are gaining traction as accessible modern classics.
