About the Ford Capri 280 Brooklands Mk3
The Capri 280, popularly known as the Brooklands, was the final limited-edition run produced to mark the end of Capri production in Europe. Mechanically identical to the 2.8 Injection Special, it featured a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel-injected Cologne V6 and a limited-slip differential. The 280 is distinguished by its unique Brooklands Green metallic paint, 15-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, and a full Raven leather Recaro interior with red piping. As the ultimate factory evolution of the Mk3, it remains the most sought-after non-RS variant for collectors, offering a nostalgic, tail-happy driving experience with a characterful V6 soundtrack.
