About the Fiat Ulysse 220

The Fiat Ulysse (Type 220) was part of the Sevel Nord joint venture between Fiat and PSA, resulting in four nearly identical MPVs including the Peugeot 806 and Citroën Evasion. Launched in 1994, it offered a versatile cabin with removable seats and sliding rear doors, making it a pioneer in the European large MPV segment. The 2.0 JTD variant, introduced during the 1999 facelift, brought PSA's common-rail diesel technology to the range, improving refinement and efficiency. While primarily a functional family hauler, its shared development makes it a significant example of cross-manufacturer badge engineering from the 1990s.
