About the Volkswagen LT Mk2
The second-generation Volkswagen LT was the result of a joint venture with Mercedes-Benz, sharing its chassis and body shell with the first-generation Sprinter. While the exterior was similar, the LT utilised Volkswagen's own powertrains, most notably the robust 2.5-litre five-cylinder TDI engine. It was available in various wheelbases and roof heights, earning a reputation for durability in the commercial sector. Today, these vans are increasingly sought after for camper conversions due to their mechanical simplicity and vast internal volume compared to the smaller Transporter.
