About the Citroën C4 Picasso Mk1
Launched in 2007 as the five-seat counterpart to the Grand C4 Picasso, the Mk1 C4 Picasso was marketed under the 'Visiospace' concept, highlighting its class-leading visibility. Its most distinctive feature is the massive panoramic windscreen that extends back over the front occupants' heads, paired with slim A-pillars to minimize blind spots. Built on the PSA PF2 platform, it prioritised ride comfort and cabin modularity over driving dynamics, featuring three individual full-sized rear seats. The 1.6 HDi engine was the volume seller, offering a balance of adequate torque and high fuel efficiency, though the optional EGS automated manual transmission was often criticised for its jerky shifts.
