About the Fiat 500 312
Fiat launched the modern 500 in 2007, reviving the rounded styling and cheerful character of the original. Unlike the rear-engined Nuova 500, the type 312 uses a front-mounted engine and front-wheel drive. This pre-facelift 1.2-litre petrol version combines modest performance with compact dimensions and a simple five-speed manual. Its fashionable cabin and urban manoeuvrability made it a familiar sight on European streets.
