About the Citroën C1 Mk2
The second-generation Citroën C1 arrived in 2014, continuing the successful joint venture between PSA and Toyota alongside the Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo. Distinguished by its quirky 'split' headlight design and compact dimensions, the Mk2 offered improved technology including a 7-inch touchscreen with Mirror Screen capability. The 1.0-litre VTi engine, sourced from Toyota, provides eager performance at low speeds, making it an ideal tool for navigating tight city streets. While it lacks the refinement of larger superminis, its low insurance groups and exceptional fuel economy made it a staple for first-time drivers and urban commuters until production ended in 2022.
