About the Dodge Shadow

The Dodge Shadow was introduced as a replacement for the Omni, built on a shortened version of the versatile Chrysler K platform known as the P-body. While it appeared to be a traditional notchback sedan, it was actually a liftback, offering significant practicality for its size. The 2.2-litre naturally aspirated engine served as the mid-range powertrain, balancing economy with more torque than the base 2.2-litre units of the era. It remains a representative example of Lee Iacocca's strategy of platform sharing to save the Chrysler Corporation.
