About the Vauxhall Tigra B
The second-generation Vauxhall Tigra, known as the Tigra TwinTop, moved away from the 2+2 coupé layout of its predecessor in favour of a two-seat retractable hardtop design. Built by Heuliez in France, it shared its mechanical underpinnings with the Corsa C, providing predictable handling and low running costs. The 1.4-litre Ecotec engine offers modest performance, but the car's primary appeal lies in its clever roof mechanism and surprisingly large boot space when the roof is raised. While not a driver's car in the purest sense, it remains a popular choice for those seeking affordable open-top motoring.
