About the Datsun Bluebird 910

The 910-generation Bluebird was the final iteration of Datsun's famous mid-sized saloon to feature a rear-wheel-drive layout. Introduced in 1979, it replaced the 'Coke-bottle' styling of the 810 with a clean, boxy aesthetic that defined the brand's look for the 1980s. The 1.8 GL was a popular mid-range choice, offering a balance of Japanese reliability and improved refinement over its predecessors. While not a performance car, its simple mechanicals and robust L-series engine have made it a cult favourite among retro Japanese car enthusiasts.
