About the Daewoo Tosca
The Daewoo Tosca was developed by GM Daewoo to replace the Magnus, marketed in Europe and other regions as the Chevrolet Epica. Its most distinctive feature is the transversely mounted XK straight-six engine, a configuration rarely seen due to the packaging difficulties of fitting six cylinders across the engine bay. While it offered smooth power delivery and a comfortable ride, it struggled to compete with established European and Japanese rivals in terms of interior quality and brand prestige. In its home market of South Korea, it was a steady seller until it was replaced by the global Chevrolet Malibu.
