About the Audi A4 B8
The B8-generation Audi A4 represented a significant step forward for the model, moving the front differential ahead of the clutch to allow for a longer wheelbase and improved weight distribution. The 2.0 TDI in 143 PS guise was the volume seller in the UK and Europe, favoured for its refined common-rail diesel engine which replaced the noisier 'Pumpe Düse' units of its predecessor. The SE trim provided a balanced specification including 17-inch alloys and rear parking sensors, making it a staple of the executive leasing market. While not a driver's car in the vein of the BMW 3 Series, it offered superior cabin materials and class-leading ergonomics.
