About the Dacia Lodgy
The Dacia Lodgy was introduced in 2012 as a budget-focused compact MPV, designed to offer maximum utility for the lowest possible price. Built on the Dacia M0 platform at the Renault-Nissan plant in Tangier, Morocco, it prioritised cabin volume and fuel efficiency over styling or luxury. The 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine, sourced from Renault, provides dependable torque for carrying up to seven passengers. While it received a poor three-star Euro NCAP safety rating, its sheer practicality and low running costs made it a popular choice for large families and taxi fleets in European and North African markets.
