About the Citroën Relay Mk1
The first-generation Citroën Relay received a significant facelift in 2002, introducing a more modern front end and improved common-rail diesel engines. As part of the Sevel Sud project, it shared its chassis and body with the Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato, offering a highly practical square load bay. The 2.2 HDi engine provided a balance of fuel efficiency and torque suitable for urban deliveries. While basic by modern standards, its wide track and low load floor made it a favourite for conversions and commercial fleets across Europe.
