About the Ford B-Max
The Ford B-Max was a subcompact MPV based on the sixth-generation Fiesta, distinguished by its 'Easy Access Door System' which integrated the B-pillars into the doors themselves. This created a massive 1.5-metre wide aperture when both the front hinged and rear sliding doors were open, facilitating effortless entry in tight spaces. Despite its clever packaging and the inclusion of the acclaimed 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, it struggled to compete with the rising popularity of small SUVs. It remains a practical choice for urban families, offering surprisingly sharp handling for its class and a high seating position.
