About the Citroën CX Series 2

The Series 2 Citroën CX arrived in 1985, replacing the classic stainless steel bumpers with integrated plastic units and modernising the 'spaceship' interior with more conventional dials. The 25 GTi served as the naturally aspirated performance variant, offering a balance of 2.5-litre torque and the legendary hydropneumatic ride quality that defined the model. While the Turbo models grabbed headlines, the GTi was praised for its smoother power delivery and high-speed stability. As one of the last 'true' Citroëns developed before Peugeot's influence fully took hold, it remains a pinnacle of French aerodynamic design and engineering eccentricity.
