About the Chrysler 200
The first-generation Chrysler 200 arrived in 2011 as a significant overhaul of the outgoing Sebring, featuring a vastly improved interior and retuned suspension. While it retained the older JS platform, Chrysler engineers replaced or redesigned nearly every major component to enhance refinement and ride quality. The 2.4-litre 'World Gas Engine' served as the entry-level powerplant, providing adequate performance for the mid-size segment. It gained fame through the 'Imported from Detroit' marketing campaign, though it remained a budget-conscious choice compared to its Japanese and German rivals.
