About the Buick Park Avenue
The second-generation Park Avenue was built on General Motors' G-body platform, sharing its robust architecture with the Buick Riviera and Oldsmobile Aurora. It featured the legendary 3800 Series II V6 engine, widely regarded as one of the most reliable powerplants ever produced by GM. While the Ultra trim offered a supercharger, the standard 3.8 provided a smooth, torque-rich experience tailored for effortless highway cruising. It represents the end of an era for the traditional, plush-riding American premium sedan before Buick shifted its focus toward SUVs.
