About the Kia Opirus

The Kia Opirus, marketed as the Amanti in North America, was the brand's first serious attempt at a flagship luxury sedan. Built on a shared platform with the Hyundai Grandeur, it featured a distinctive 'neo-classical' design that drew heavy inspiration from the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Jaguar S-Type. While it lacked the dynamic agility of its European rivals, it offered a remarkably quiet ride, a spacious interior, and a high level of standard equipment for its price point. Today, it is remembered as a curious transitional model that paved the way for Kia's modern premium offerings.
