About the Buick Lucerne

The Buick Lucerne was introduced for the 2006 model year as the brand's flagship sedan, replacing both the LeSabre and the Park Avenue. This 3.8-litre variant is notable for being one of the last GM vehicles to utilise the 'Series III' 3800 V6, an engine renowned for its exceptional durability and smooth power delivery. Built on the G-platform shared with the Cadillac DTS, it prioritised a traditional American luxury ride with its 'QuietTuning' insulation and soft suspension. While it lacked the performance of the Northstar V8 models, the V6 version was favoured by buyers seeking reliability and lower running costs.
