About the Austin-Healey 3000 Mk I
The Austin-Healey 3000 Mk I, designated the BN7 (two-seater) or BT7 (2+2), replaced the 100-6 and brought with it a larger 2.9-litre engine and front disc brakes. It retained the classic, muscular styling of its predecessors while offering significantly improved performance and stopping power. As the first of the 'Big Healeys' to carry the 3000 name, it established a successful competition pedigree in international rallying. Drivers value the Mk I for its raw, mechanical feel and the evocative exhaust note of the BMC C-Series engine.
