About the Austin-Healey 100 M Le Mans BN2
The Austin-Healey 100 M 'Le Mans' is a high-performance evolution of the BN2 series, built to celebrate the marque's impressive 12th-place finish at the 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans. Unlike standard models retrofitted with the 'Le Mans' kit, the 100 M was a factory-built special featuring high-compression pistons, a high-lift camshaft, and larger SU H6 carburetors. It is instantly recognisable by its louvered bonnet secured with a leather strap and a fold-down racing windscreen. Collectors prize the 100 M for its rarity and its status as the most potent road-going iteration of the original four-cylinder 'Big Healey'.
