About the Audi A1 GB
The second-generation Audi A1 (GB) moved production to Martorell, Spain, and adopted a five-door-only Sportback body style. Built on the Volkswagen Group's MQB-A0 platform, it offers a more spacious interior and a significantly stiffer chassis than its predecessor. The 30 TFSI trim features a punchy 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that balances efficiency with enough torque for confident urban driving. Inside, it brought high-end features to the supermini segment, including the Virtual Cockpit and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster as standard.

Audi A1 GB fun facts
- The A1's exterior design features three flat slits under the bonnet edge, a direct visual homage to the 1984 Audi Sport Quattro rally icon.
- Unlike the first generation, the GB model was never offered with a diesel engine or a three-door body style due to shifting market demands.
- The second-generation A1 shares its core architecture with the Volkswagen Polo and SEAT Ibiza, but features unique suspension tuning for a firmer, more premium feel.
