About the Audi A1 8X
The Audi A1 (8X) marked the brand's successful entry into the premium supermini segment, sharing its PQ25 platform with the Volkswagen Polo but offering significantly higher interior quality. The 1.4 TFSI Sport trim was a popular choice, balancing the agility of a small hatchback with Audi's signature 'big car' refinement and soft-touch materials. Its turbocharged EA111 engine provides a broad torque band, making it feel punchier than its displacement suggests. While the Sport suspension is firmer than the base SE, it remains a composed and mature daily driver that helped redefine expectations for small luxury cars.
