Welcome to CarSpot. By using our app or website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

About CarSpot

CarSpot identifies cars from photos you submit and generates collectible cards with rarity tiers, specifications, estimated values and collector notes. You can build a garage, pin spots on your device and share cards. Trading with friends and the community is coming soon.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 13 to use CarSpot. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf. Keep your account credentials secure and provide accurate information. Contact info@carspotapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Subscriptions

Some features require CarSpot Pro, a subscription you buy in the app. On iPhone you buy it through Apple's App Store, and on Android through Google Play, so your purchase is also covered by that store's terms. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown before you buy, and payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and the store may charge you for the next period up to 24 hours before the current one ends. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you start a free trial, you will be charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then. Free trials are for new subscribers, and Apple or Google decides whether you are eligible. If you cancel a paid subscription, Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.

You can manage or cancel your subscription from Settings in the app, or in your store account. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. You can only manage or cancel a subscription with the store you bought it from. Deleting the app or your CarSpot account does not cancel your subscription.

Apple handles billing and refunds for App Store purchases, and Google handles them for Google Play purchases, under their own refund policies. To ask for a refund, contact the store you bought from. This does not affect your legal rights. You can restore your purchases in the app, for example after reinstalling it.

Acceptable use

Only scan or share images you have the right to use. Do not upload illegal, harmful or privacy-infringing material, harass or impersonate other players, choose offensive usernames or profile pictures, fake spots, misuse the service, interfere with security, or use automated tools to abuse the app. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive players. Usernames are checked automatically, and profile pictures and pictures shared in the CarSpot Feed are checked before other players can see them. Players can block and report each other in the app. We review reports and may remove profile pictures, change usernames or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

AI and value disclaimer

AI-generated identifications, specifications and collector notes may be inaccurate. Estimated vehicle values are directional estimates, not appraisals, offers to buy or financial advice. Verify vehicle details and values independently before making decisions. Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.

Ownership and content

CarSpot's software, design and branding belong to us. So do the CarSpot car catalogue as a whole, including our selection and arrangement of cars, estimated values, rarity ratings and collector notes, and the studio pictures of cars we publish. They are protected by intellectual property laws, including copyright and database rights where these apply. Make and model names belong to their owners.

You may view the catalogue and pictures in the app and on our website for your own use, share links to our pages, and share your cards with the app's sharing features. Unless we agree in writing, you may not copy, scrape or bulk-download the catalogue or pictures; republish, sell or license them; use them to build or improve another database, app or service; or use them to train or test AI models. Do not reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code of the app or our services, except where the law allows it.

You retain rights to photos you submit. You grant us permission to process submitted photos solely to provide identification and the service, as explained in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for content you choose to share outside the app.

Service availability and liability

The service is provided “as is” and may change or be interrupted. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties and liability for indirect losses. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending your account

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time; see our Delete Account page. Deleting your account does not cancel a CarSpot Pro subscription, so cancel it with Apple or Google Play as well. We may suspend accounts for violations of these Terms.

Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country. We may update these Terms and will revise the date above when we do.
