About the Volvo C70 Mk2
The second-generation Volvo C70, developed in collaboration with Pininfarina, replaced the separate coupé and convertible models of the first generation with a single retractable hardtop design. The 2010 facelift introduced a more aggressive front end inspired by the S60, along with the D3 five-cylinder diesel engine which offered a smoother, more characterful alternative to four-cylinder rivals. While it lacks the sharp handling of a BMW 3 Series, it excels as a comfortable four-seat cruiser with exceptional safety credentials and a high-quality interior. The three-piece roof mechanism remains a marvel of engineering, though it significantly restricts boot space when retracted.
