About the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport Mk7
Released to celebrate 40 years of the Golf GTI, the Clubsport (known as the Edition 40 in the UK) bridges the gap between the standard GTI and the Golf R. It features a revised EA888 engine producing 265 PS, with a ten-second 'overboost' function that increases output to 290 PS. The chassis is significantly upgraded with stiffer springs, revised dampers, and a bespoke aerodynamic package including a multi-part roof spoiler and a new front splitter. Inside, it is distinguished by Alcantara-trimmed bucket seats and a steering wheel marked with a red 12 o'clock stripe, offering a more visceral driving experience than the standard car.
