About the BMW 6 Series E63
The E63-generation 6 Series marked the return of BMW's flagship grand tourer after a 14-year hiatus, featuring the bold and controversial 'Bangle Butt' styling. The 630i served as the entry-level variant in Europe, powered by the lightweight N52 magnesium-aluminium engine, which was the last of BMW's naturally aspirated straight-sixes. While the V8 models offered more raw power, the 630i was praised for its superior front-end agility due to the lighter engine and its smooth, linear power delivery. It remains a sophisticated cruiser that balances modern BMW technology with a classic engine configuration.
