About the Vauxhall Cavalier Mk3
The Mk3 Vauxhall Cavalier was a dominant force in the UK's family car market, famously battling the Ford Sierra for sales supremacy. The SRi trim served as the accessible performance choice, bridging the gap between standard fleet models and the flagship Turbo. By 1993, the SRi featured a facelifted exterior with a body-coloured grille and improved safety equipment including standard ABS. While less powerful than the earlier non-catalyst versions, the 1993 8-valve model remained a respected 'Q-car' known for its robust C20NE engine and long-legged cruising ability.
