About the TVR Vixen
The TVR Vixen was the model that brought financial stability to the Blackpool firm under the leadership of Martin Lilley. Replacing the Grantura, it utilised a lightweight glass-fibre body over a tubular steel chassis, initially featuring the 1.6-litre Ford Kent engine for improved reliability and lower costs. The 1970 model year saw the transition from the S2 to the S3, introducing 'Aeroflow' wing vents and cast alloy wheels as standard. Its low kerb weight and independent suspension provided the agile, raw driving experience that defined the marque's reputation among enthusiasts.
