About the TVR 450SE
The TVR 450SE represents the final and most potent iteration of the 'Wedge' series, bridging the gap between the radical SEAC and the curvaceous Griffith. It features a bored-out 4.5-litre Rover V8 that delivers a claimed 320bhp, providing performance that could humble contemporary supercars. While it lacks the expensive Kevlar body of the SEAC, it retains the aggressive styling and raw, unassisted driving experience characteristic of Peter Wheeler-era TVRs. With only 35 units produced, it is one of the rarest and most sought-after models in the Wedge family.

TVR 450SE rarity in CarSpot
The TVR 450SE is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 100 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.
Each model's tier starts from a 0–100 score based on its value plus its power or production numbers. Once enough players have spotted a model, how often it is spotted can move it up or down one tier. How CarSpot rarity works
Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.
TVR 450SE fun facts
- The 450SE was essentially a more affordable, fibreglass-bodied version of the ultra-exclusive 450SEAC.
- Despite the factory claiming 320bhp, contemporary dyno tests often suggested the real-world output was slightly lower, though still formidable for its weight.
- The Wedge design was penned by Oliver Winterbottom, who also designed the Lotus Eclat and Elite.
