About the TVR S Series

The TVR S2 was a pivotal model for the Blackpool-based manufacturer, refining the original S-series design with a larger 2.9-litre Ford V6 engine and improved interior ergonomics. It features a multi-tubular spaceframe chassis clothed in a lightweight glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) body, maintaining the brand's traditional low-weight philosophy. The S2 is distinguished by its unique 'targa-style' roof arrangement, where two removable panels and a folding rear section allow for multiple open-top configurations. It offers a raw, mechanical driving experience without electronic aids, characterized by a distinctive exhaust note and surprisingly compliant ride quality.
