About the Renault Torino

The IKA Torino is the definitive Argentine automotive icon, developed by Industrias Kaiser Argentina with significant input from Juan Manuel Fangio. While based on the AMC Rambler American chassis, it featured a bespoke Pininfarina-designed front and rear and a sophisticated interior that distanced it from its utilitarian roots. The 380 trim utilised the 'Tornado Interceptor' overhead-cam engine, providing a blend of grand touring comfort and surprising performance. It gained legendary status after a near-victory at the 1969 Nürburgring 84-hour race, cementing its place as a symbol of national engineering prowess.
