About the Toyota Harrier XU10
The first-generation Toyota Harrier, known internally as the XU10, was a landmark vehicle that successfully blended the attributes of a luxury saloon with the utility of an SUV. Launched in Japan in late 1997, it was exported to international markets as the Lexus RX, effectively creating the luxury crossover segment. The 3.0 V6 trim features the 1MZ-FE engine, providing smooth power delivery suited for urban cruising rather than heavy off-roading. Its car-based monocoque chassis offered significantly better handling and refinement than the body-on-frame SUVs of the era.
