About the Toyota GR Corolla
The GR Corolla Circuit Edition was launched as a limited-run performance flagship for the North American market, bridging the gap between the base Core and the track-focused Morizo Edition. It features a forged carbon-fibre roof, a vented bulge hood, and Torsen limited-slip differentials as standard, hardware originally developed for the GR Yaris. Under the bonnet is the G16E-GTS engine, the world's most powerful production three-cylinder, paired exclusively with a manual gearbox. The GR-Four all-wheel-drive system allows drivers to adjust torque distribution between 60:40, 50:50, and 30:70 splits. While initially intended for a single year, high demand saw production extended through 2024 before it was replaced by the Premium Plus trim.

Toyota GR Corolla fun facts
- The Circuit Edition features a roof made of forged carbon fibre, which is lighter than a traditional steel roof and lowers the car's centre of gravity.
- The gear shifter in the Circuit Edition is signed by 'Morizo', the racing pseudonym of former Toyota CEO and master driver Akio Toyoda.
- The car's triple-exit exhaust system is designed to reduce backpressure, allowing the tiny 1.6-litre engine to produce a remarkable 300 horsepower.
