About the Suzuki Swift Mk2

The second-generation Suzuki Swift was a masterclass in lightweight engineering. In 1.3 GS trim, it offered a balance of economy and surprising pep, thanks to a kerb weight that barely exceeded 750kg. While the GTi grabbed the headlines, the GS provided the same agile chassis and 'wheel-at-each-corner' handling that made the platform a favourite for budget-conscious enthusiasts. Its simplicity and reliability have earned it a cult following, though surviving examples are increasingly rare due to rust and hard use.
