About the Suzuki Carry
The tenth-generation Suzuki Carry (DA32) arrived in the UK in 1999, moving the microvan segment 'half a size up' with a semi-cabover design that added vital crumple space. Powered by the G13BB 16-valve engine shared with the Jimny, it offered significantly more refinement and highway capability than the two-stroke and 1.0-litre Carrys of the past. Despite its tiny footprint, it features a surprisingly large load bay accessed via twin sliding doors and a rear hatch. Today, it is highly sought after by enthusiasts for micro-camper conversions and urban businesses due to its legendary reliability and ULEZ-compliant status in many UK cities.

Suzuki Carry fun facts
- The 1.3-litre G13BB engine is essentially the same unit found in the Suzuki Jimny, making parts and maintenance exceptionally easy to source.
- Unlike many modern vans, the Carry features a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, placing the engine under the front seats for optimal weight distribution.
- In the UK, the Carry was only officially sold in white with no factory options, though it has since become a blank canvas for elaborate custom paint jobs and wraps.
