About the Subaru Justy M300F
The fourth-generation Subaru Justy (M300F) marked a significant departure from the model's heritage, abandoning Subaru's signature symmetrical all-wheel-drive and boxer engines in favour of a front-wheel-drive layout. Unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, it was a badge-engineered version of the Daihatsu Boon (also known as the Sirion or Toyota Passo). Powered by a Toyota-sourced 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine, it was designed strictly as an entry-level city car for the European market. While it lacked the mechanical uniqueness of its predecessors, it offered class-leading fuel economy and a surprisingly spacious interior for its diminutive footprint.
