About the Saturn Aura

Launched for the 2007 model year, the Saturn Aura was a pivotal shift for the brand, moving away from plastic body panels toward a more sophisticated, steel-bodied European design. Built on the GM Epsilon platform shared with the Opel Vectra, it offered a level of handling and refinement previously unseen in Saturn's line-up. The XE trim featured the 3.5-litre VVT V6, providing a competitive balance of power and value against established rivals like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Despite its critical success and winning the 2007 North American Car of the Year, the Aura's lifespan was cut short by the dissolution of the Saturn brand in 2009.
