About the Rover 45
Launched in 1999 as a major facelift of the 400 Series, the Rover 45 was the brand's final mid-sized family car before the company's collapse in 2005. It retained the Honda Domani-based platform but introduced a more traditional British aesthetic, featuring chrome accents and a plush, wood-trimmed interior inspired by the larger 75. The 1.6-litre K-Series engine provided a smooth, rev-happy experience, though the model struggled to compete with more modern rivals like the Ford Focus. Today, it is appreciated by enthusiasts for its comfortable ride and as a symbol of the final era of Longbridge production.
