About the Daewoo Lacetti
The Daewoo Lacetti was the final new model launched by the brand in the UK before its transition to the Chevrolet nameplate in 2005. Styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro's Italdesign, the five-door hatchback featured a contemporary European look that stood in sharp contrast to earlier, more derivative Daewoo designs. It was praised for its generous wheelbase, which provided class-leading rear legroom, and a straightforward value proposition that included a comprehensive 'peace-of-mind' service package. While the driving experience was unremarkable, the 1.6-litre E-TEC II engine provided adequate performance for a budget-conscious family car.
