About the Renault 10

Launched in 1965 as a more upmarket alternative to the Renault 8, the Renault 10 (often branded as the 1100) featured a significantly lengthened front and rear to increase luggage capacity and presence. It retained the R8's rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and sophisticated four-wheel disc brakes, a rarity for economy cars of the period. While it offered a smoother ride and more interior refinement than its predecessor, it was eventually superseded by the front-wheel-drive Renault 12. Today, it is a charming entry-level classic, valued for its quirky French engineering and 'boutique' 1960s styling.
