About the Porsche 924 Carrera GTS
Developed to homologate the 924 for Group 4 racing, the Carrera GTS is a hardcore, lightweight evolution of the Carrera GT. It is distinguished by its fixed headlights under Perspex covers, a larger intercooler mounted in the nose, and a stripped-out interior featuring 935-style racing seats. The body utilizes aluminium and glass-fibre reinforced plastic for the doors and wings to shed weight, while the suspension and brakes were upgraded with components from the 911 Turbo. Only 59 examples were hand-built at Weissach, all finished in Guards Red, making it one of the rarest and most focused road-going Porsches of its era.
