About the Pontiac G8 GXP
The Pontiac G8 GXP represents the pinnacle of the brand's performance legacy, serving as a final, high-octane farewell before the division was shuttered in 2010. Based on the Australian Holden Commodore (VE), it features the 6.2-litre LS3 V8 shared with the C6 Corvette, making it the most powerful production Pontiac ever built. Unlike the lower-tier GT, the GXP was available with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and featured Nürburgring-tuned FE3 suspension and Brembo brakes. Its rarity and status as the last true Pontiac performance sedan have made it a highly sought-after modern classic among collectors.
