About the Peugeot 306 Rallye
The Peugeot 306 Rallye is a focused, UK-only special edition designed to offer the purest driving experience of the 306 range. By stripping out the GTi-6's luxuries—including air conditioning, electric windows, and sound deadening—Peugeot reduced the kerb weight by approximately 65kg. It retains the celebrated XU10J4RS engine and close-ratio six-speed gearbox, paired with a passive rear-steer axle that provides legendary agility. Finished in Bianca White, Cherry Red, or Black with distinctive Peugeot-Talbot Sport decals, it is widely considered one of the finest-handling hot hatches ever produced.

Peugeot 306 Rallye fun facts
- Only 501 units were produced for the UK market: 200 in Bianca White, 200 in Cherry Red, 100 in Black, and a single unique car in Dragoon Blue.
- Unlike the 106 and 205 Rallyes which used steel wheels, the 306 Rallye kept the 15-inch 'Cyclone' alloys from the GTi-6.
- The weight-saving measures were so thorough that even the front fog lights were replaced by plastic blanks to save a few extra grams.
