About the NSU 1200
The NSU TT was the high-performance evolution of the Prinz 1000, featuring a transverse-mounted, air-cooled four-cylinder engine located behind the rear axle. Distinguished by its twin headlights and an oil cooler mounted under the front bumper, it offered exceptional power-to-weight for its era. Its rear-heavy bias and independent suspension made it a formidable competitor in touring car racing and hill climbs, often outperforming much larger machinery. Today, it is highly prized by collectors for its mechanical simplicity and giant-killing competition pedigree.
